The future of music distribution is a huge and serious issue. As CDs and vinyl are disappearing slowly but surely musicians have to ask themselves how to earn money in future? There are a lot of ideas in the room: Customers could pay as much as they want for Radiohead’s last album “In Rainbows” while former Nine Inch Nail drummer Josh Freese goes even further with his $75,000 offer to “take shrooms and cruise Hollywood in Danny from Tool’s Lamborgini” or for a mere 20 grand: “take you miniature golfing and then drop you off on the side of the freeway (all filmed and posted on Youtube).”
EB TV discussed the topic with Tanith (DJ), Daniel Rerat (Ex-Neuton), Jörg Heidemann (MDM) and Ronny Krieger (Beatport). Check out the whole discussion (in German) here (part 1), here (part 2) and here (part 3).
