‘Tis the season for whimsical snow sculptures. Winter is really upon us now, and it won’t be long before the snow hits, but the magical Japanese snow festival Sapporo Yuki Matsuri looks to be the perfect antidote for seasonal gloom.
Our first choice of sculptures was a fine and nicely shaped dragon, typical of Japanese culture and mythology. While the dragon impressed with its delicate looks, the dinosaurs (below) struck us with their size and intricacy. The handicraft is simply amazing, and will hopefully inspire you during the construction of your next snowman.
Sapporo Yuki Matsuri takes place February 5, 2010.
