One of the best and consistently most interesting electronic music music labels, Dial Records is soon to release 2010, a retrospective which will also mark the tenth Birthday of the Hamburg based imprint.
Luminaries that have released on the label include label boss’ Lawrence and Carsten Jost, Pantha Du Prince (pictured above), who now plays for Rough Trade, and Germany’s Christian Naujoks.
Founded by Carsten Jost aka David Lieske and Lawrence aka Peter M. Kersten in 2000, the label first found itself in the spotlight when Pantha’s masterpiece This Bliss was released in 2007. Ever since then the label has gone from strength to strength, releasing critically acclaimed records by the likes of Phantom/Ghost’s with Thrown Out Of Drama School and Efdemin’s.
The label will only be issuing new and unreleased tracks for the compilation, including a debut Dial track from German micro house pioneer Isolée plus Pigon, who are RNDM an Efdemin, combined.
Dial will release 2010 on March 22nd. A huge Dial hoedown will be taking place at Berghain in Berlin March 20th to celebrate the release.
