Over the past two weeks, the Electronic Beats team has been left awestruck and confused in equal measure by some rather spine-chilling videos.

The mysteriously named youtube channel iamamiwhoami has caused a stir with a number of spooky clips, cryptically titled with a code that resembles an ip address or some kind of programming code. Having done some extended online research, people seem to believe that this algorithm has some sort of deeper meaning. Furthermore, in every piece there is a few seconds highlighting a particular animal. So far a goat, owl, whale, and bumblebee have all made fleeting cameos. The deeper you dig, the more confusing it becomes.
Not only we have a sneaky suspicion that Aphex Twin or Chris Cunningham could be the brain behind these sinister videos, reeking as they do of a heteroclite nightmare.
Otherwise, we are still uncertain of who the shadowy dirt covered seducer could be. Alison Goldfrapp, Karin Dreijer Andersson or Helen Marnie from Ladytron immediately spring to mind. However, rumors abound that it might even be Lady Gaga, the princess of dirt Xtina or Norwegian unknown Margaret Berger.
However, stroke of genius that it is, we still don’t feel that the artist behind this is a pop star. Not in the typical sense at least.

Code ciphers, music fans and Internet nerds have all attempted to come to a conclusion but none have us convinced. Maybe one of our fellow readers could throw us a bone?
