Julien Berthier is a street artist known for his many types artistic expression, yet one of his best projects is hardly recognized. Carefully camouflaged, this work of art blends in perfectly with the surrounding Parisian streets.

Created in 2006 Berthier explains – “[We did the project] One Saturday morning at 7 o’clock on a blind wall in the 3rd arrondissement of Paris. The façade, using the local architectural codes, occupies 10 cm of public space, and was mounted and glued on in thirty minutes. Almost 4 years later, the address still exists. Regularly graffitied it is even cleaned by the city service.”
The mock door and address has continued to fool authorities for the past four years!
With the origins of street art already being re-appraised, Berthier’s work is subtle but hilarious and deserves to be noticed. Hopefully the gendarmerie hasn’t read this.
