Those boys in CAPITAL LETTERS are BACK! Manic noise punkers HEALTH have returned with a brand new compilation of remixes, entitled DISCO2.
Raising the bar this time with a host of well-knowns including Tobacco, Crystal Castles who worked on their first remix LP, gothic duo Salem, and Gold Panda who will be supporting HEALTH on their upcoming US tour.
The LA based collective have utilized all the tracks from their 2009 sophomore album GET COLOR that saw them harvest some favorable review right across the board, including a rare 8.0 in Pitchfork.
Playing their vaguely danceable spazz tunes to disorientated music fans right across the world, the foursome released their first full remix collection based on their self titled debut album back in 2008 called HEALTH//DISCO. Nosaj Thing and Toxic Avenger all taking part or should i say apart.
Since then HEALTH have organized plans to start their own small empire including an internet TV station and clothing line.
The opening track on the remix album ‘USA BOYS’ was produced by Alan Moulder (My Bloody Valentine, Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode) with a few names like Crystal Castles mentioned above and CFCF returning to the remixing fold.
