Hercules and Love Affair, led by renaissance man Andy Butler, are set to release their second album later this year. Entitled Blue Songs, the album has been recorded in both the US and Austria, where the group benefited from the studio touches of producer de jour, Patrick Pulsinger.
Furthermore Mark Pistel of Meat Beat Manifesto has also lent a hand in the production and the band will be joined by new vocalists Daniella Negrot, and Kele of Bloc Party fame.
Our money is on a much more house orientated album, with a healthy dose of emotion and longing, as we have come to expect from the band. Certainly judging by this clip of Kele playing with the band, it sounds like classic era house à la Larry Heard.
Exciting times in camp love affair.
