FunkinEven drops heat on Eglo

The new Eglo Records promo arrived yesterday and as usual, we couldn’t wait to see what was due next on the label. This time, it is the return of producer extraordinaire FunkinEven who some of you may recognize from production work with Moloko’s Róisín Murphy, and Eglo’s first lady Fatima.

Another Space/Heartpound is FunkinEven’s third release on Eglo and Eglo’s 10th following on from where She’s Acid/Must Move left off. Another Space/Heartpound, however, takes thins to a whole new level. If you are a fan of his previous releases then this will make you weak at the knees.

‘Another Space’ is a straight-up bomb, with tinges of hardcore and the sounds of early rave. ‘Heartpound’ is the highlight, though – a monster acid number, jackin’ bass, killer vocal cuts and Chicago & London both seeping out from every beat.

FunkinEven’s Another Space/Heartpound is out on 13th September on Eglo Records.
