In a world of consumerism, Logorama is what seems to be any motion graphic designer’s dream: the 16-minutes short film directed by animation collective H5 is created almost exclusively from well-known brands and their logos.
We are sure you will recognize most of them. In a world of only fast-food chains and car-rental places, we meet the Pringles brothers Original and Hot&Spicy, as they hit on the sexy Esso girl. We follow a car chase with two bulky Michelin agents and get to experience the dark side of Ronald McDonald taking hostage of Big Boy.
François Alaux, Hervé de Crécy and Ludovic Houplain, who make up H5, managed to have Logorama presented at the Cannes Film Festival in 2009, opened the Sundance Festival 2010 and the short film also rightfully won a 2010 Academy Award. Do we need to say that these 16 minutes are worth your time? It’s a master piece.
