From macro to micro: Australian Ben Thomas, who graduated from the International Design Effects and Animation School in Adelaide, likes to shrink his surroundings in order to create a feeling of “newness”.
By taking what was once large and reducing it to scale model size, he tries to get people to think and look at scenes and places in a different way. The above shot is a Sumo wrestler scene from Japan, displaying the two fighters, viewers as well as the referee.
For now you can satisfy yourself with the whimsical 2009 site, but Ben’s new and revised all singing all dancing 2010-site will be launched very soon.
