ONES TO WATCH - Let's Go To War

Fitting name for the times we live in.

Part of the hot Canadian hip hop scene which includes Thunderheist and the Cool Kids, Let’s Go To War’s incendiary sound can only be described as apocalyptic bass driven crunk-hip hop. Based out of Toronto and made up of DJ Cirkut, Peter-John and Sonny G, the trio was recently signed to the hot Canadian label Last Gang and now has tails wagging in every corner of the music industry.

Let’s Go To War have toured with M.I.A, opened for Santigold and produced a saucy track ('Mmmm Papi') on the new Britney Spears album, “Circus”. Additionally, they just completed a double-sided mixtape entitled "Why Can't We Be Friends?” with Canadian DJ Rynecologist: one side features electro tracks, tones of edits and scratch interludes, and the other side is filled with hip hop.

The tracklist includes edits from Diplo, Teenage Bad Girl, M.I.A and Jay-Z amongst others. Like N.E.R.D., Let’s Go To War are super producers that are more than capable of producing and writing good tracks on their own. We recommend the single “Whole City’s Got A Cold”, conveniently located on the group’s MySpace.
