Vinyl had always seemed destined for the recycling bin, but not too long ago hordes of DJs and music lovers came to the defense of this unique format, which has now found itself more popular than ever.

Turntable company Stanton recently came up with a plan and released a great range of digital vinyl players, the T55 and the T92. These beauties are targeted at music lovers who want to master the art of transferring their dusty analogue collection to digital format. But even more importantly, if you want to simplify the process of sampling that battered Krautrock record or Creole gem into your new release, then this is a great way to do it.

Stanton claims, “You can remove any pops and clicks that are common when playing vinyl, but more importantly this turntable features USB and RCA outputs, so you can easily use the deck to transfer music from your vinyl records onto your PC or Mac.”

While there have also been a slew of these players on the market recently, what sets this one apart is that its optimized for vinyl lovers who toe the digital divide. You also don’t need to worry about complicated cables or connections; the T55 is extremely user-friendly and comes with an audiophile Stanton 500.v3 Cartridge.

This T55 model and its upmarket brother T92 retail at around 200-300 USD.
