Steed Lord

17/12/2006

What’s your name and what’s it mean? I am Kali. Kali is the goddess of time. The ferry across the ocean of existence.

How many are you? We are a party of four in Steed Lord. M.E.G.A, dEmo & A.C. Banana$ are my thugees.

You matter right now because? We bring our own sound to the dance floor. Our own genre.

Signature sound? Electro Crunk House Music with a slick Gangsta Twist. Heavy beats, dirty synths & dope melodic hooks.

Signature look? Science Fictional Haute Couture meets Gold Grills, Cazal Frames & Dookie Chains.

Key influences? The good 90s rave music, rare 80s dance funk, Giorgio Moroder, Quincy Jones & Michael Jackson, Eazy-E, Prince & Sheila E, Dirty South Crunk Shit and, of course, the original Detroit Techno & Chicago House Music.

Where to find you? Deep Down in the Dirty Land of Ice & Cream. Iceland ... and soon in a hood near you!!!

Do say? ‘Flubberinn’.

Don’t say? ‘Samt sko, samt ekki’.

New Rave is here because? I guess people are sick of the mainstream. Underground rave music is rising back to the top. I was a part of the 90s rave scene in Iceland and was making house music at the time. I can feel the same vibe going on with the new rave scene and it makes me very happy and nostalgic. I’m proud to be a part of it again. It’s the most honest form of creative and artistic expression in music.

The type of person to listen to your music is? Anybody who takes a hit of our truth serum will feel their feet moving to the beat and will feel the flow of our show.
