Kombinat 100 have been lubricating dancefloors across Europe for some time now with their House and Techno meets Jazz meets Disco live act. Wege übers Land can be seen as a culmination of all those live shows, as every track seems to have been honed to perfection. From the wistful piano led opener Flieg Kleine Taube, to the Roy Budd meets Patrick Cowley disco stomp of Out Of My Space, accordions, congas, crisp beats and a definite French flavour are order of the day. Whilst this might not be to everyone’s taste (it certainly brought to mind the Gotan Project in places), as an album contemporary House, it’s hard to fault.
