OK, So I have decided to ban the use of the word 'disco' in my reviews, for the moment at least. Loud E, is a DJ from Holland, who is also a bit handy with a blade and some splicing tape. He was also one of the founders of the sadly missed internet radio station CBS along with I-F.
On the fantastically named Loudefied, he brings together a collection of forgotten and undiscovered records found in the flea markets and second hand shops of Rotterdam, and re-casts them as quirky, funky body shakers. In contrast to Optimo's recent edit compilation (which I still think is excellent), Loud E has taken a slightly more humorous approach in choosing his template songs. Although he has released a number of 12"'s, this is Loud E's first proper CD release, and its nice to see that all of the songs contained, have not (yet) been released on wax. From the bonkers to the sublime, it's all here.
