Get Physical is never a step behind, always at the forefront of electronic dance music, definitely ever since M.A.N.D.Y. vs Booka Shade’s mighty hit ‘Body Language’. Reason enough to name their already highly acclaimed DJ-mix series after that forever catchy dance tune. Because ‘Body Language’ stands in other words for dance. Get Physical has not only proved the right touch in choosing hip DJs, but also manifesting open-mindedness. Therefore Berlin’s House avant-gardist Dixon has got the task to mix his very own set, that gives you the closest idea of what his notorious Innercity nights at Berlin’s Weekend-Club are like. Dixon knows indeed how to combine the deepness of House with a more popular side of dance music without ever getting mainstream. His interpretation of the Body Language mix-CD involves tracks of Château Flight, Thom Yorke, Larry Heard feat. Mr White or Herbert amongst others and of course the whole Innervisions posse (Henrik Schwarz, Âme) and a truly great intro by Timo Maas! Great compilation for everyone who’s not too much into electronic, neither too much into Pop, but has discovered that in-between space that offers so many gems!
