For those who enjoy a festival on the cutting edge of art, technology and music you need look no further than London’s 2010 Ether festival. A series of innovative artists will showcase Ether’s cross-arts experimentations all of which are intended to permeate the class barrier.
Held at Southbank Center the festival takes place April 16-24. Starting things off will be the multi-faceted Stero MCs who will delve into their blend of trip-hop along with The Bays and The Herbaliser.
Elsewhere expect Lou Reed’s Metal Machine Trio to ruffle some feathers, as they perform Reed’s controversial 1975 album Metal Machine Music. Elsewhere Gil Scott-Heron will make a highly anticipated return showcasing material from his upcoming album I’m New Here, after a self-imposed hiatus of 15 years. And finally, on April 23rd audio/video genius Chris Cunningham will dazzle everyone with his pioneering live show of original and remixed music.
2010’s Ether festival in London will clearly be the place to be this April in London.
