Berlin’s annual festival of “Adventurous Music and Related Visual Arts”, Club Transmediale, just revealed much of its amazing line up for 2010. The 10-day-extravaganza, which takes place from January 28 to February 7, will feature luminaries like Planning to Rock, Glass Candy, Andy Blake, Faulty DL, Four Tet, Scuba, Hiroaki Umeda, The Mole, and EB favorites Mount Kimbie for their first ever Berlin show.
The event’s main musical acts will be taking over three floors of the newly refurbished WMF Club in the evenings, with the daytime program handled at the nearby HBC club, where there will be lectures, workshops, panel discussions, and installations devoted to the theme of “Overlap” between music, media, and visual arts. Meanwhile, WMF Club’s new lounge will serve as a central meeting place for festival visitors.
Head over to the Club Transmediale website to see the artists on the lineup so far. Early bird festival passes will be available for €60 until December 13, 2009.
