On May 23, 2009 Cologne will be hosting the Electronic Beats Festival for the first time since 2006. As previously announced, Canadian electro-soulsters Junior Boys and French synth-poppers Phoenix will rock the E-Werk stage. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.
Additionally, headliners Simian Mobile Disco will be playing new tunes (and of course old classics) from their forthcoming studio album alongside the powerful electro-punk of Portland darlings The Gossip. Another band from London, Filthy Dukes will send the crowd in to raptures with their energetic synth-pop while Swedish darling Fever Ray, aka the female half of The Knife, will present songs from her debut weirdo pop album.
