Put promotion into overdrive Chewy, ionic brands Adidas and Star Wars have combined forces with Snoop Dogg, Darth Vader and an ectourage of Storm Troopers to spread the message of dope sportswear and canny marketing. The group recently invaded a New York Adidas store, where they proceeded to use their light sabres to cut off the feet of anyone who was wearing Nike, Puma or Reebok. Well, maybe... Star Wars’ fans rejoice! The eagerly anticipated Adidas Originals Star Wars collection is nearly here. Hitting shops later this month and cleverly split into three areas - characters, vehicles and direct packs, the collection contains trainers, T-shirts and track wear.

Each set pays homage to the iconic film whilst incorporating Adidas Originals silhouettes: Yoda and Luke Skywalker tops, Millennium Falcon trainers and Darth Vader and his Storm Troopers popping up on all manner of sportswear.

UPDATE: In typical Adidas fashion, a star-studded cast features in the Adidas Originals Star Wars collection commercial. Usual suspects such as Snoop Dogg, David Beckham, Calle 13, DJ Neil Armstrong and Daft Punk are all seen celebrating the collections opening. Watch the video below.
