Chicken Lips

Chicken Lips prep best-of compilation

22/04/2010

Chicken Lips are to release a best-of compilation later this year through London's Tirk Recordings. Created by Andy Meecham and Dean Meredith, a pair who found earlier fame under their Bizarre Inc moniker, Chicken Lips have been joined in later years by Stevie Kotey of Bear Funk and Jonny Tonic. Taking the aesthetic of eighties dub mixes and running with it, Chicken Lips have an instantly identifiable sound that is one part retro to two parts futurism, and although flecked with familiar influences, they can only sound like them.

With three studio albums under their belts, a highly sought after contribution to the DJ-Kicks series and a bona-fide worldwide smash with 'He Not in', Chicken Lips have fused some of their best catalogue work with some exclusive tidbits ahead of a return to the business of playing to hoards of sweaty dancers in smoky nightclubs.

Tracklisting:
1. Is That You Or Me?
2. Sweetcow
3. You're Playing Dirty
4. Hot Love
5. Blanc Tape [Unreleased Dub]
6. He Not In
7. Robot Lips
8. Wind Ya Neck In
9. Clapslap
10. White Dwarf [Zeefungk Mix Stevie Kotey Edit]
