Manchester dance label Deconstruction is set to resuscitate itself as well as cheesy ‘90s dance music. Formed in 1987 and shuttered in 2001, Deconstruction has released records from Sasha, Way Out West, M-People and Kylie Minogue.
Sony’s Senior Vice-President of A&R and M-People founding member Mike Pickering plans to pick up the pieces, alongside management company Three Six Zero Group.
Apart from signing new artists and announcing details of future releases, their first port of call will be reissues of Lionrock’s 1993 “Packet Of Piece”, and an expanded remix version of Sasha's 1999 “Xpander” EP.
