Don't fade away

09/07/2008

text: Carlos de Brito

It is with genuine sadness that Electronic Beats brings you the news that internet radio station and community CBS (Cybernetic Broadcasting Systems) is no longer broadcasting. CBS was run from The Hague by legendary DJ I-F aka Ferenc who has done more than anyone to champion the often forgotten songs of early 80's electronic music.

Citing lack of listeners, as the main cause CBS is no longer broadcasting its unparalleled mix of proto house, italo, and cosmic disco. 6 years, seems like a lifetime in the fickle world of music trends and that's just why CBS was loved by so many - they followed their own path, influenced by no one but themselves.

RIP CBS ;(
