Fans of Portishead had to wait for eleven years for a new album of the Bristol-based band. Now, the wait is about to end.
A week prior to the official release of Portishead's new studio album "Third", fans can already listen to the new songs at last.fm. There the complete album is offered as a free on-demand stream! Matching the eleven years since the last record, eleven new tracks are now ready for our ears.
This takes the website, which is the world's largest for-free internet music platform, back to its roots. "Portishead were the first band whose music you could listen to at Last.fm and the song "Cowboy" was the first song ever that was played after the launch of Last.fm in 2002", explains co-founder Martin Stiksel. No wonder the're proud to present us this exclusive preview of the new record (pictured above is the limited edition).
So get your headphones ready and go to http://www.lastfm.de/music/Portishead/Third to listen to Portishead's new album "Third".
