Fabric have embraced the world of grime, garage and dubstep, announcing that they will be setting up yet another mix series entitled Elevator Music Vol.1.
Untold, Starkey and Martyn will all appear on the compilation amongst many other new producers, and it has been described by label owner Graham Best as "140bpm (or thereabouts) bass music". For a full track listing go here.
Not the only Fabric news we have for today. We also received official word that the successful club/label has picked Buraka Som Sistema to curate their next Fabriclive mix, coming in at number 49.
The Portuguese party starters and MTV Europe Music Award winners are intent on sharing the raw energy of the Kuduro genre to the world ,including many of the scenes DJs who appear on the CD like Malvado and DJ Znobia.
The compilation also takes a bite out of the dubstep/grime/electro genre including tracks from Zomby, Skream and Major Lazer.
The trio go on to explain the ethos behind their compilation, “We wanted to avoid making a compilation of twenty club bangers that two months from now are going to be totally forgotten and people are going to be totally sick of them”. For full track listing go here.
