Fan Death readies debut album

Disco heathens and Erol Alkan-favourites Fan Death are gearing up for their hotly anticipated debut release early next year. The Vancouver band featuring Dandi Wind and Marta Jaciubek-McKeever has been riding high since the success of ace single “Veronica’s Veil” and Japanese 12” “Cannibal”.

Building on some very hot buzz in 2008, Fan Death have been accurately compared with the newest sensual batch of mid ‘70s disco revival groups such as Hercules and Love Affair, Glass Candy, the Chromatics and Emperor Machine.

Judging from their new track and remix, Donna Summer might be shaking in her boots. You can hear two new Fan Death tracks at their MySpace, a remix of "Veronica's Veil” by Erol Alkan as well as a new song called "The Best Night". The album doesn’t have a release date but is expected in early 2010.

In the meantime, check out the video for their track “Veronica’s Veil”:
