Moon Unit 'Connections'

Moon Unit - Connections

23/01/2009

text: Remo Bitzi

Supersoul Recordings label boss and former Terranova member Xaver Naudascher and DJ / Producer Paul Mogg met through a mutual friend while releasing on Hell’s Gigolo label. Later they teamed up with Rosalind, an Irish artist, who Paul met back in 2001 in London. After the highly appreciated Moon Unit series (part 1-4) in 2007 and 2008, which was thought as a collaboration only, the trio decided to form the pop group Moon Unit.

With ‘Connections’ the band releases another great record. Using various synthesizer, an organic sounding percussion background and Rosalind’s unique voice, Moon Unit creates this re-interpretation of Krautrock-influenced Italo Disco.

Acoustic delicacies are also the two Ewan Pearson mixes. They certainly will cause some serious damage to your legs, which won’t be able to resist dancing to this tunes.

By the way, Moon Unit is performing live on January 29 at the Beck’s Fashion Experience after party at WMF in Berlin.

Tracklisting:
A Side: Connections (original)
B Side: Connections (Ewan Pearson’s Slo NRG rmx)
Bonus digital release: Connections (Ewan Pearson’s Slo NRG dub)

MOON UNIT - Connections 12” out on February 16 on Supersoul Recordings
