German producer Phonique will issue his third follow up album this summer entitled Kissing Strangers.
Known by the real name of Michael Vater, the award winning house DJ and online poker ace received a much-needed profile boost when his 2007 LP Good Idea came out, working with the likes of Erlend Oye, Gui Boratto and Steve Bug.
His new album co-produced by Tigerskin’s Alex Krüger picks up on an canvas of modern, soulful, deep house music alongside a host of solid names including again, Gui Boratto and Georg Levin. There's some really nice breezy melodic tracks thrown in there, (definitely one for poolside) like ‘Amy’s Heart’ and the carefree intro ‘The Passion 2010’
Phonique has released albums on some of the finest labels around including Crosstown Rebels, Brique Rouge, Global Underground and Renaissance and was voted the Best Deep House Act by Beatport in 2008.
