World-renowned Canadian/German DJ Richie Hawtin was reportedly kicked out of the dark confines of infamous Berlin techno club Berghain club this weekend.

Known for their strict door policy and leader with the tattooed face, bouncers at the club are said to have ejected a group of revellers, including Hawtin, due to questionable behaviour. Apparently, a curtain dividing the DJ booth and back room came crashing down and all behind it were thrown out. Deep Dish’s Dubfire reported via his Twitter account that” “the bouncers were TOTAL pricks… and roughed up alot of our crew :-(."

Hawtin chose to use some harsher words via his own Twitter, “U know what, BERGHEIM is a great club once you are inside, but why does the door policy have to be so fucking ridiculously hard. Come on guys, you have a great club but don't act so egotistically cool. We would all love to play and work with you, but you need a serious atitude adjustment!!! Good luck and remember those who have been supporting your scene before you even opened."

We would have thought that after all these years, Hawtin might be able to spell the club’s name, but then again, we also thought he would never be escorted out (involuntarily, that is).

The superstar Dj's in Hawtins crew (and surrounding crews) believe they are accountable to no one. Its good to hear the security didn't take shit from them. Whenever any of them get their asses kicked by security or anyone for that matter (and it happens often) it always brings a smile to the face of those who know the deal. Humble up Richie, pride come before the fall.

He behaved like a prick , he was agresive towards a security guard and got thrown out with reason in other venues he would have gotten beaten up.. he behaved like the king but he forgot he wasnt in his castle.. Richie is full of him self , i used to admire him but he became the joke of town , self absorbed , and lost his talent and nice character he once carried .. too much ibiza bullshit, sven, gropies and believing his money is the most grandiouse thing in the world..I have money i have more money and models and chics ..oh ...and im the best ,,im amazing , im richie hawtin! I believe his brain got also damaged by the amount of drugs he took..sad...he was a great mind..meh... hopefuly he doesnt come back to PB anytime soon , we dont need him there.. stay in your posh sake bar Rich , your own bubble is the only place you can feel happily the king and use the Vip rooms .. In Berghain there is not such thing as VIP , its a comunity everyone is treated equally. bye

When you're in Berghain, you play by Beeghain rules. You break the rules and you're out This policy has made Berghain the best club in the world - and that shall never change. Sorry Richie, but you have found your master. Thank you Sven for showing him his limits.

The real question is : what was he exactly doing behind this curtain ? drugs ? blow jobs ? That's what we wanna know...
Nathan
why does that matter?

I bet they were having a knitting circle behind the curtain, and people would have been able to see the amazing mitten plans they were working on when the curtain fell down.
