Since 1969, Munich based label ECM has consistently released high quality music. This was recently recognized by Chilean/German DJ Ricardo Villalobos, who announced in a Resident Advisor interview that he will be reworking several selections from ECM’s highbrow back catalogue.

We were overjoyed to learn that Villalobos will be working with Max Loderbauer of the Moritz Von Oswald Trio in order to reconstruct previous ECM recordings, although nothing more is known about the project. Villalobos is a known fan of the label, and even DJ'd at ECM’s 40th anniversary night in Berlin last November.

ECM was founded 40 years ago by Manfred Eicher, and through heavyweights like Keith Jarrett, Tord Gustavsen and Jan Garbarek, become one of the world’s most highly regarded world, jazz and ambient recording labels.
