Crazy P--Live at Matter in London, 2008-11

The story of Crazy P began over ten years ago in 1996 at Nottingham University, where Chris Todd and Jim Baron met for the first time. Both of them were musically gifted and shared the love of bending and reshaping old records from many different genres and a production partnership was born. After a couple of releases under various different monikers they founded the band “Crazy Penis” and with very little equipment and a name to shock they released a series of 12” Records on the legendary deep house label “Paperrecordings” based in Manchester. The duo's debut album, "A Nice Hot Bath With....", sold over 5000 copies worldwide on word of mouth alone and the demand for live performance from Crazy P continued to grow, requiring the addition of extra musicians to produce the show. Danielle Moore was located, crooning her way round a house party in Manchester and given a microphone instead of a glass of wine. Tim Davies, having worked with Jim and Chris previously on CP tracks, broke from the shackles of the photo lab to play bass guitar, and finally Matt Klose, who had also worked with the boys before, was given the task of out-drumming the drum machine.

Now settled into the five piece format with Jim and Chris at the production controls, the band have been touring extensively including many trips around England, Ireland, Scotland and a couple to Wales. They also have toured in Australia and across Europe over the lat six years. Highlights of their life on the road were a support tour with “Faithless”, in 2005, New Zealand and Australia for New Year 2006, headlining the Castle Stage at the Big Chill 07 and the summer festival season every year. In October 2008 they released their fourth artist album 'Stop, Space, Return' on 2020 Vision. They also completed a successful European tour in September 2008.
