Lopazz--Session for Electronic Beats Radio, 2009-03

Heidelberg-born Stefan Eichinger aka Lopazz has been channeling his music, production and multimedia art talents into his 800achtspur label -- as well as dozens of film scores -- since 1996.

Having released his avant-garde club music on labels such as Get Physical and London's legendary, now defunct Output Recordings, Eichinger produces all his songs with analogue equipment, preferring organic sounds to computer-based ones. He recently released his debut full-length artist album "Kook Kook," which captures his witty and imaginative electronic funk blueprint perfectly.

Lopazz showed his versatility in 2003 with the release of his self-titled EP on Trevor Jackson's label Output Recordings followed by the singles "Blood" (with a Tiefschwarz remix) and his first seminal club hit "I Need Ya". He remixed one of Germany's most successful pop acts, Söhne Mannheims and Sven Väth used "I Need Ya" on his compilation "Sound of the Fourth Season".

Eichinger's relationship to Berlin-based Get Physical began with his remix of Chelonis R. Jones' "I Don't Know". The label went on to issue Lopazz's vocal track "Migracion", which was remixed by Luciano and Ricardo Villalobos. Further releases for Compost Black Label, Output and Lasergun cemented Lopazz´s reputation as an artist of real originality and significance.
