After 13 years of experience playing at techno events like Melt! Festival and Klanglauf, Mathias Kaden certainly has intuition for the crowd’s feelings and needs. The music he plays is distinctly ambitious and refreshing, and allows him to communicate with his audience in a very particular way.

For seven years, Kaden has been the resident DJ of the Muna club. He not only DJs there, but also supports talented folks in the Freshblood project. Additionally, he is jointly responsible for the Klanglauf events at Kassablanca in Jena, as a DJ and organizer.

Mathias released four of his own EPs on Vakant and four additional EPs with his partner Marek Hemman on the Freude am Tanzen label. He’s done respected remixes for Matthias Tanzmann, Onur Özer, Dapayk, Anja Schneider, Daniel Stefanik, Trentemoller and Noze. Mathias is not the sort of person who releases out new records on a whim, even if they’re really good ones. Making records that remain timeless and long lasting is one of the guiding motifs of his life.
