The Cuban Brothers

Of Rum, Girls and Good Cigars

The Cuban Brothers are exactly the kind of friends you might call for help when your private party is failing in the absence of inspired guests, drinks or good music, when the mega-hip electro club full of daft posers and overdosed DJs definitely sucks, when your average indie festival gets heavily on your nerves, while lacking glam, cold beer and public toilets… Yes, they would hurry and come and save our day - and probably the rest of the world - with song and dance, DJ skills and mischievous smiles.
The Cuban Brothers are a miracle. Born in Havana during the 70s, influenced by soul, funk, easy listening and radio pop, inspired by Cuban history, they effortlessly manage to work any kind of audience live. Their positive onstage presence, freaky slapstick antics and awesome breakdance abilities are spriceless.

The Cuban Brothers: A weird showbiz dynasty and a mafia-like clan. Miguel Mantovani, head of the Hermanos Cubanos, once led a life as a nightlife mogul and porn star. Archerio, Miguels son and nephew, is his most talented protégé and arch rival simultaneously. Clemente combines his status as a world class DJ with karate dance moves and outrageous charm. Kengo San, Miguels illegitimate son is made of pop star material, channeling the original, non-plastic-surgery Michael Jackson.
The four Mantovani´s incredible rise to fame began in British clubs and venues, led to performing at the legendary Manumission, hosting the NME Awards to headlining and guesting at private parties by Elton John, Robbie Williams, Richard Branson or Princess Diana’s soon-to-be-father-inlaw Mohammed Al Fayed. Even MTV was on their tracks and in no time The Cuban Brothers started presenting specials like Homelands and Creamfields, MTV in Ibiza and MTV Music Awards. When they’re not performing onstage at open-airs, on catwalks, in club venues, at VIP parties, these hard working showbiz boys are busy finishing their debut album in the studio or developing characters for their eagerly awaited TV series.

Even in good old Germany The Cuban Brothers left their imprint: Whether during the launch of the new Sony Playstation 3 (PS3), alongside Good Charlotte on March 2007 in Berlin or while playing the MTV Designerama aftershowparty, the Electronic Beats festival in Vienna on September 2007 or the EMA´s (MTV Europe Music Awards pre-party-week) on October in Munich.

These guys manage to connect with all generations, rocking their audience with an adventurous mix of musical styles, sex appeal and self-mockery, determined to go crazy or even strip onstage.

Crowds all over the world witness something that seems to be a rare feat these days: The Cuban Brothers deliver a show they’ll never forget…
