Autocratically pushing their style

David Cox and Russell Crank aka autoKratz abuse machines and guitars to create their unique brand of melodic nu-rave music. Having released their first record on Parisian Kitsune label in 2007, autoKratz got a quick start as producers. With their first mini album "Down & Out in Paris & London" autoKratz received support from tastemakers like Pete Tong, Annie Mac, Steve Lamacq, Tiga and Erol Alkan, which helped solidify their status as one of the most exciting up-and-coming electronic bands.

Cox and Crank are best known for infectious bass hooks, addictive vocals, thriving beats and flogging bleeps, but for the soon-to-be-released album 'Animal' duo has chosen to focus and refine their songwriting. According to Cox, as a record "it's unique and it's personal. It's captured an energy which I think is genuinely exciting and reflective of who we are as people. We were so keen to create something out of the ordinary; something people might not expect. The result is songs about us that we hope to have a real impact on people" adds Cranks.

This mix for Electronic Beats Radio features striking tracks from their own studio, along with their own remixes, and those by Erol Alkan, Boys Noize, Yuksek and Joe & Will Ask.
