Andy Blake enters a world unknown

Andy Blake enters a world unknown

Dark lord of underground disco Andy Blake has got back into the dirty business of running a vinyl only record label. After his much lauded one sided imprint Dissident closed it’s doors a little over a year ago (much to the chagrin of fans of mutant discoid electro) Andy went on to release a brace of analogue funk work-outs as as Cave Paintings, and focused his efforts on running the World Unknown parties in Brixton with Joe Hart of Bloc and Bodyhammer.

Now the time has come for World Unknown the label, and the first two releases will be double sided affairs with World Unknown 1 taken care of by a certain Naum Gabo and the hardest working man in disco, and driving force behind Berlin’s much loved Slow Motion label and parties Franz Underwear. The second release – World Unknown 2 will be from Neville Watson and Apiento who also happens to run the excellent Test Pressing.

Snippets of the records can also be hear on the Test Pressing blog.

World Unknown will release both records in July 2011.
