Elliphant

Elliphant is Ellinor Olovsdotter, a Swedish rapper and singer who takes influence from dancehall and reggae. While producing alongside fellow Swedes Jungle, the trio’s sound caught the attention of TEN Music Group, where Olovsdotter signed as an independent artist in 2011. Her debut single a year later, “Tekkno Scene,” drew comparisons to M.I.A. and Diplo. January 2013 brought the release of her first EP, and the eponymous outing was swiftly followed by a full-length, A Good Idea, which featured the anthemic single “Live Till I Die.” In 2014, Elliphant dropped two singles with high-profile collaborators: “Only Getting Younger” with EDM figurehead Skrillex, and “One More” with Danish singer MØ, leading into the release of a sophomore album by the same name. In that same year, she opened for pop phenome Charli XCX on a European tour.

Olovsdotter has performed at the Mad Decent block party and has appeared on a various-artists EP with Major Lazer and Pharrell. Her third and newest album, Living Life Golden, lands on September 25 via Dr. Luke’s Kemosabe records, and features her current single, “Love Me Badder.”
