DJ and producer from Cologne
Roosevelt

Roosevelt already lured the crowd all over Europe with swirling synth sounds, disco-laden beat arrangements and chillwave flair. In addition to his DJ residency at Cologne’s famous Total Confusion party, he’s been performing gigs throughout Germany, France and the UK. In 2012, he supported Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs and Balthazar on tour and headlined shows with his band in tow. In October 2013, he releases his dance floor-heavy EP, Elliot, via Greco-Roman. In spring 2015, he released “Night Moves”, the first single of his upcoming debut album.

Today’s Mix of the Day is a recording of Roosevelt‘s live set which brought the curtain down EB Festival Prague earlier this month. The Cologne-based artist has been championed by Greco-Roman (with “Sea”, a highlight of this set, released on the imprint last year). Expect an energetic, DIY-flavored hour as Marius Laube overlays various musical elements—his own vocals, live and electronic percussion and sheets of synth—all supported by ridiculously funky bass spine.

You can read a live, on the ground report of the whole night right here.
