Cast your mind back to September and that late summer evening when Pet Shop Boys played HAU1 for a special Electronic Beats showcase. Afterwards, it fell on the broad shoulders of infamous local talent Pet Shop Bears (see what they did there) to take care of matters at the official EB presents Pet Shop Boys aftershow party held at Horst Krzbrg. And take care of them they did, in, um, flamboyant style.
This is a recording of their DJ set from the PSB aftershow and is over two hours of hirstute disco, pop and house. If you already know Justin Case & Open Mike from their regular residency every last Friday of the month at—where else—Berghain, you’ll know what to expect. To give an example of how ripe it is: it starts with a remix of “Flamboyant” and incredibly only gets better from then on. If you like your disco musclebound and pheromone drenched, tuck in.
