EB Premiere: SEØUEL – Prague

Busting out of the same scene as LuckyMe’s Sevendeaths and Claude Speeed, the Edinburgh-born (but Berlin and London-based) SEØUEL shares a similar predilection for the murkier corners of the dancefloor as his compatriots. However, where Sevendeaths and Speeed are not exactly strangers to witchy ambience, SEØUEL’s schlock-heavy productions are delivered with the theatrical wink of the sideshow ringmaster. At its best, his debut EP—which we’re premiering in its entirety today—channels the malevolent spirit of darkcore in the elemental pads of “Das Ist”, although a strictly twenty-first century sleight of hand ensures this is one of many musical references scattered throughout the EP. The Scottish producer is no fan of half-measures either—have you seen this video? Good, unwholesome fun—we heartily recommend.
