EB Video Premiere: Black Cracker – “Living Right”

Black Cracker, aka Ellison Renee Glenn, is a producer, writer and MC based between NYC, Lausanne and, lucky for us, Berlin. A core component of this city’s musical underbelly, he’s also had a hand in in the much buzzed about Brooklyn scene which spawned Le1f, Zebre Katz and Cakes da Killa and chalked up collabs with Creep and CocoRosie along the way. Perhaps you, like us, caught him at Urban Spree with Cakes da Killa last month and if so, you’ll be feeling today’s video premiere as much as us. This is the exclusive first airing of “Living Right”, taken from his forthcoming album Poster Boy, the follow-up to Pretty Boy (the names alluding to his transition between pre-T and post-T, meaning testosterone; Cracker is FTM). The album, full of gnarled synths, sex and Cracker’s trademark quasi-malevolent drawl, is produced by Black Cracker and Maurau while the video, which sees Black Cracker imposed over a library of lavish digital backdrops, is self-directed. Watch the video above and hear a preview of the entire album right over at BlackCracker.net.

Poster Boy is released on March 15th via Gully Havoc.
