CSS finishing off new album
Brazilian new-rave band CSS has revealed to Australian online dance site inthemix, that they have finished up their new album for release in 2011.
Lead singer Lovefoxxx told ITM, that they tried really hard in order to get away from their first album Cansei de Ser Sexy and Donkey. Choosing to not make, "the same record twice". However on a more personal note Lovefoxxx made it known that she found inspiration for the album by, "re-reading her old diaries from [her] teenage years."
Going on to exclaim, "I love them! There is something about being a teenager that I connected with when I read them again – when you’re a kid you don’t think twice about anything, you live in that moment and it’s really intense."
Lovefoxxx then went on to explain the apprehension behind finishing up the LP and the general direction of the LP:
“We were all done with [the album] and everything but then we decided to go back in and rework it and now it sounds even better.…this time we weren’t even thinking about how we would perform the songs live, we were just making them sound really big in the studio. Some songs don’t even have guitars, they’re just done on keyboards.”
In 2008, bass player Ira Trevisan's departed from the group, "claiming she was concerned about global warming and how she was contributing to it by touring"....Huh?
There is no word on a street date or title yet.
