Now the solo project of Michael Wollenhaupt, Ancient Methods has become one of Berlin’s top breeders of bleak, industrial techno. His latest EP, Turn Ice Realities Into Fire Dreams, is due for an October 9 release on HANDS, and as a teaser, he’s shared “This Is All I Could Do,” which is being described by the label as “a sublime combination of slow, stumbling beats, eerie vocal samples and a woeful melody.” Stream it in full here, and check out some of his collaborative productions with Birmingham techno don Regis as Ugandan Methods.
