Berghain Urges Techno Hedonists To Vote
Berlin’s temple of techno wants to make sure you vote against the far-right before you party.
Berghain is a place to forget about the outside world. It’s a mythical fantasy zone with almost no rules and an insanely good sound system. Normally, the only political discussions that happen there are of the rapid-paced but unremembered variety. It’s beyond conventional politics…or is it? For this week’s Klubnacht, the club has added a very special message on its running order to encourage people to vote against the far-right AfD party. The message adds an extra “time” to the running order from 8am in the morning to 6pm at night that says, translated, “Go vote, stop the right-wing populists!”
