Discogs to Launch First Official App
As if it wasn’t hard enough for record collectors to control their Discogs habits, the online music marketplace is now being primed for on-the-go access. According to The Vinyl Factory, the first official Discogs app “will be modeled on the MilkCrate mobile platform and share similar features including the ability to catalogue collections, view marketplace pricing, add to wantlists and search the database for music.” However, users will need to log into their accounts from a computer to communicate with other sellers or actually buy records. An iOS and Android launch is tentatively scheduled for 2016—stay tuned for more updates.
