Forest Swords Hits The Stage With Body-Oriented Dance Score

In February, English electronic musician, Forest Swords (a.k.a. Matthew Barnes), conceived and subsequently scored a solo dance piece that premiered in Liverpool.

The musical composition was produced using sounds of breath and body. In Barnes’ words it was intended to reveal how our bodies can “fix and fail”, and be vulnerable and connect. Luckily, the commissioned act is now available to stream via Boiler Room.
