Fraktus, a German electronic trio from the ’80s, had their big revival in 2012. It could be argued that these guys are the godfathers of what would later become the German techno underground, so after a 20-year hiatus, it was magical to experience the missing link between Kraftwerk and krautrock. On their new album, Welcome to the Internet, they’ve shifted from analog production to full-fledged digital interfaces, but if you’ve ever been curious about German electronic music from the olden days, then Fraktus is a real delight. Or, as the Germans say: “SATT, HART, FEUCHT.”
