The Chicago house Don has his pioneering remix for Jago—his first released remix—back in print thanks to Dark Entries.

They don’t come more steeped in legend than Frankie Knuckles, and few remixes continue to pack as much heat—even thirty years later—as “I’m Going To Go”. Thanks to excellent San Francisco label Dark Entries, you’ll be able to rediscover all of the magic of the remix on vinyl once again with a reissue out imminently.

“I’m Going To Go” is the 1985 remix of Milanese producer Jago’s 1983 original. The instrumental remix version became a hit in New York thanks to its constant rotation at hotspot Paradise Garage. Frankie’s rework predates even the release of his massive ‘Your Love’ single with Jamie Principle—the track often said to have birthed the house music genre.

Watch how much punch “Your Love” can pack at an illegal rave here, and get a primer on moody Italo disco from Dark Entries head honcho, Josh Cheon here.
