A new track by Data-Driven DJ (AKA Brian Foo) attempts to catalog diversity in Blockbuster movies over the past decade. “The goal of this song and visualization is to give an intuitive and visceral understanding of how different groups of people are represented (or underrepresented) in mainstream Hollywood movies,” Foo writes. He created the track by converting data on the gender, race and ethnicity of featured actors and actresses into sound bites.
