Deepblak Recordings label owner Aybee and photographer Marie Staggat have presented their first movie, The Gift, at Berlin’s Ohm club. It features cameos from producers like Levon Vincent, Fred P, Dave Aju, Christopher Rau and EB radio contributor Alland Byallo, as well as a cast of friends. You can now stream the whole movie on Deepblak’s Vimeo page. The accompanying synopsis is short but apt:
“Follow the journey of a mysterious radio, and the lives it intersects as it makes it was around Berlin.”
It’s the first foray into directing for Aybee, who is also responsible for the rather beautiful soundtrack full of celestial techno scapes.
